I got the chance to talk to Brian Madden today, who runs the Citrix uber-site brianmadden.com, which is a great resource for all things Citrix/Virtualization/Application Delivery. We were talking about application delivery, when it hit me that we were talking about two separate concepts. I’d known about the term in reference to a new generation of load balancers (and my resistence to it, preferring instead the term “load balancer”), but it’s also used in Microsoft/Citrix/App circles as a way to describe delivering Windows executables (.exe) to remote desktops.
He has a really top notch operation, including BriForum, a technical conference on application delivery (the .exe kind).
