Cisco Going After Aftermarket Sellers

Reported by Network World, Cisco is apparently preparing to go after the after-market sellers of Cisco gear. Cisco is, in a sense, competing with its past success, by selling against its own gear in the used market. A great way for consumers to save a buck, but bad for Cisco’s bottom line.

I wonder what effect this will have on the load balancer after market. I don’t get the sense that a lot of Cisco load balancers are sold (ArrowPoint/CSS, LocalDirector, etc.), but certainly Alteons are all over ebay.
